Tommy is the school bully, convinced that strength and fear are the only ways to earn respect. After yet another act of aggression, the principal forces him to attend a theatre workshop. There, he meets classmates he once ignored and, through acting exercises, is pushed to step into their shoes. Facing those he hurt and confronting his own vulnerabilities gradually changes how he sees himself and others. Through struggle and discovery, Tommy takes his first uncertain steps toward empathy.
About the Director.
Jacopo Cullin is an Italian actor, writer and director from Cagliari, Sardinia, whose career spans cinema, television, theatre and comedy. He has appeared in acclaimed Italian films including The Referee (L’Arbitro), presented at the Venice Film Festival, The Stuff of Dreams (La stoffa dei sogni) and The Man Who Bought the Moon (L’uomo che comprò la Luna), in which he played the lead role. He is also widely known in Italy for his work in television, including the popular Rai series The Investigations of Lolita Lobosco. Alongside his extensive acting career, Cullin has written and directed a number of short films, bringing together comedy, human observation and social themes. His work reflects his Sardinian roots and a distinctive ability to move between humour, drama and contemporary storytelling.
