Director Statement
Following RADARscreen's debut short, 'The Final Chapter of Madness', Stuart Mackie Ellis set his mind to penning a script as a vehicle for a very talented actress - Sophia Mackie Ellis. While fighting a writer's block, a fortuitous location landed on his lap. With the location in place, Stuart was now able to draft something specific to that site. Once he was then committed to an all-female cast, 'The Redress of Verely Ambrose' was born.
About the Director.
Stuart Mackie Ellis has been a professional actor for 25 years, starring in over 80 commercials worldwide, as well as theatre, TV and independent films. He has written 3 plays, all produced in London theatres, and a handful of screenplays. During lockdown, a few of those films were shot on camera phone as practice and to lay the groundwork for where he is now - RADARscreen. With his wife, Sophia, RADARscreen was established as a means to produce those films, 'The Redress of Verely Ambrose' being the second following the award-winning 'The Final Chapter of Madness'.
